Workplace Pilates... and why you should start today!

There are so many reasons to take up on-site, workplace Pilates and I've tried to collect a few of the key ones here.  If this is TLDR then to summarise; A happy and healthy workforce is more motivated and therefore more productive. Pilates is a great 'all-abilities and all-levels' class to take, so workplace and on-site pilates classes during a lunch break (or just before/ just after work) are a fantastic way to invest in the wellbeing of your staff and show them you value them.

Boosts morale
Taking a moment to appreciate staff and acknowledge what they are doing makes sense. An hour or so of pilates during their lunch hour can make the difference. Relax, unwind, move and improve the mood.

Healthy Team
Healthy team = happy team. The office for National Statistics estimates musculoskeletal problems (including back pain, neck and upper limb problems) lost 30.8 million working days (22.4%) lost in 2016.* Pilates aims to improve flexibility and strength of the spine and core and prevent back pain.

Productivity and focus
Regular breaks = higher productivity. Minds work better when they aren’t constantly overloaded and taking some ‘rest’ time from the job in hand will refocus the mind. ‘Success+rest = growth’**

Cross-team engagement
Socialising promotes conversation and team mentality and makes for a better environment to work in.

Recruitment
Adding Pilates to your list of benefits adds to the attractiveness of your workplace. You spend so much time in the workplace so it should be attractive on more than just a monetary level.

If you're looking for Pilates for your workplace, office space, team members in or near Mount Martha, Mornington, Mount Eliza or nearby on the Mornington Peninsula, VIC, then don't hesitate to get in touch with me - I'll be more than happy to have a chat, discuss options and figure out a plan that will suit you and your business.
