A few of the questions I regularly get asked about Private Pilates sessions

As a Private 121 Pilates instructor I get asked a lot of questions about Pilates and why it would be good for them. To address some of the more common ones, I've pulled this together. This is by no means a full list of questions, and if you have one of your own - just get in touch!

"Why would I want to attend a private Pilates session?"

Ask anyone who's tried it and they'll likely say that the personal attention you get as well as the focus on health or injury issues can be incredibly helpful through all areas of their life. If you can't get to a class, this is a perfect solution as 121s from Joanna’s Pilates Mornington are held in your own home. (All you need is a mat, I bring the rest).

"Is it for me?"

Pilates 121s are for everyone! Sessions are tailored for all sorts of personal requirements from chronic pain, and injury recovery through to sports people as well as newbies to exercise. They’re perfect for any adult of any age and any ability as the sessions can be targeted exactly to your needs and goals.

“I’m pregnant, should I do 121 Pilates sessions?”

Definitely. The personal, tailored approach, alongside specialist experience, will ensure movements are made correctly and safely with your stage of pregnancy in mind. As long as your doctor deems you able, then you are.

“I’ve just had a baby, should I do 121 Pilates sessions?”

Again - this is a recommended approach. Find a Pilates instructor with specialist experience in post-natal Pilates care and you know you’re in safe hands and your bodies recovery can begin (once you’re signed off by your doctor of course!).

“I’m very SELF-CONSCIOUS, how will I be able to do it?”

121s are the perfect solution for someone who feels a little nervous of group/ class environments. By focusing on your personal needs and wishes, you can ensure you’re getting the support you need, that your form is correct, and feel confident that you’re doing the best you can. You might even feel empowered enough at a later stage to join that Pilates/ exercise class.

"It's quite expensive isn't it?"

You're getting personalised, tailored Pilates sessions that suit your individual needs, so when you break it down its really amazing value. You can also have up to 3 people per private session with Joanna’s Pilates Mornington, and, whilst you won't get the same 121 attention, you still get way more than a class environment may offer, plus the camaraderie of friends/ family support.

Whatever your reasons, or questions, and to find out more abut private 121 Pilates sessions with Joanna’s Pilates Mornington, in or near Mount Martha, Mornington, Mount Eliza or nearby on the Mornington Peninsula, VIC, then don't hesitate, just drop me a message!
